Random Rant

I am such a lazy cow today! I’ve spent 8 hours watching “Americe’s Next Top Model” and demolished like 1800 calories… The only productive thing I’ve done today was Day 2 of 30 Day Shred and writing two letters.

But! I’ve done some thinking as well, I went through Internet to plan what outfits am I gonna buy for the moment when I show off my new smoking body (next month). I found a lot of great pictures and… I realised that I actually tried some of those looks before. But it’s really hard to look casual when you’re fat.

I remember going to a concert with my girls last summer and I really, really tried looking hip and casual and ended up looking as an 80s’ fatty on my way to a fitness studio! It was so annoying! There was also something about me that was saying “Hey, I’m wearing that because nothing else fits me”. That’s why I’ve been trying to look elegant and classy all those years (I still dig this look but it makes me look even more mature than I actually am), I was actually wearing heels ever since I was 15 (!) to seem at least a bit slimmer. And that semi-elegant look was the only look working for me.

I only have a small mirror in my dorm bathroom but as I went grocery shopping today in the morning I took the elevator (with a full-lengh mirror) and realised that I didn’t look awful in the casual clothes anymore. I was wearing flip flops, shorts and a hoodie and I LOOKED CASUAL, not pathetic at all. There is an actual chance that the BBQ I’m gonna attend in August with my mom and her friends is not gonna end up being a total disaster with all those people telling me how great my mom looks.

For some weird reason I felt the need to share this, I use Tumbrl because I don’t wanna bore my friends to death with all the fitness/weight-loss stuff:) Off to run a 10k now :D
